In photos: Former POW camp in Bowmanville now a vandalized teen hangout

Last Updated May 5, 2016 at 3:24 pm EDT

Buildings in Bowmanville that were once a prisoner of war camp during the Second World War are now being used as a hangout for teenagers.

Camp 30 was originally a school for delinquent boys.

Once upon a time, deliquents were banished to the property but now are vandalizing the building out of their own volition.

Things have gone full circle.

See the photo gallery below to see what the camp looked like before and what it looks like now.

The property is not protected by the government and is easily accessible. It sits on land on 2020 Lambs Rd. that has official historical distinction.
