Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in locating a homicide suspect.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Gary Michael White, 48, of Hamilton for the second degree murder of Joseph Colson.
Police said Colson, 43, died in hospital on March 25 after he was found at a Hamilton residence suffering from obvious injuries.
White and Colson are said to be cousins but police do not know what the motive for the murder is.
White is of no fixed address and was last seen near Main Street and Kenilworth Avenue in Hamilton around 9 p.m. on March 25.
Anyone who sees White or knows of his whereabouts should not approach him as he is believed to be armed and dangerous. Police ask that people contact 911 immediately if they see him.
Colson is Hamilton’s fifth homicide of 2016.
Police are reminding family or friends of White that it is a criminal offence to assist him in evading arrest.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Tom Hutton or anonymous to Crime Stoppers.
The investigation is ongoing.
