One man is dead following a wrong-way crash on the Queen Elizabeth Way near Stoney Creek early Sunday morning.
Burlington OPP say a car was reported traveling the wrong way on the highway near Fruitland Road when it collided with a car headed in the right direction in the Fort Erie bound lanes.
One of the cars exploded into flames and the lone male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drier was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released by police.
Police say the highway was closed for almost six hours as a result of the crash. No charges have been laid at this time.
