Police asking for public's help after women sexually assaulted downtown

Police are seeking the public’s help after two woman were sexually assaulted in Toronto on Thursday.

A 55-year-old woman was walking in the area of Richmond Street East and Church Street around 6 p.m. when she was grabbed and sexually assault by a man.

Police said the man fled the scene after the woman confronted him.

On the same day, around 6:30 p.m. another woman, 36, was grabbed and sexually assaulted by a man while walking in the area. He fled the scene.

The man is described as black, six-foot-four, approximately 25 to 35 years old, has a large build, was wearing a black leather jacket, a green sweater, blue jeans, clean shaven or slightly unshaven and had short hair.

Police believe there may be other victims.
