The outage was first reported around 1 p.m. in the area of Bloor Street West south to Lake Shore Boulevard, and Parkside Drive east to Roncesvalles Avenue.

The company said at one point there were about 3,000 customers without power, but as of 4 p.m. that number has dropped to about 500.

UPDATE: As of about 5:45 p.m., Toronto Hydro said power had been restored to the remaining customers affected.
