An investigation into a juvenile prostitution ring has led to the arrest of 22 GTA men, York police said Tuesday.
The men were arrested over a four-day period, after trying to solicit the sexual services of girls under the age of 18 between Nov. 2-5.
The men were arrested at hotels in York Region.
Police say the operation was part of a larger investigation, “Project Raphael,” which focused on the exploitation of underage girls being advertised online.
The accused face 65 charges including luring a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 and obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 years.
The identities of those charged have not been released.
