Barrie police were called on to corral a pig on a street where a barbecue had exploded moments earlier.
The blast happened around 7:30 a.m. Sunday on Hickling Trail, near Johnson and Grove streets, causing minor damage to a home.
At the same time, officers got a call about a large hog running down the street near the spot where the barbecue exploded.
They managed to corral the pig and return the pet, named Isabelle, to its owner.
Bylaw officers will follow up to make sure the pig is licensed.
Police said no one was hurt in the explosion and the two incidents are not related.
