Conservative MP Michael Chong sat down for a one-on-one interview with Aaron Wherry of Macleans magazine to discuss the reform bill the he introduced Tuesday.
Chong is missing the real issue intentionally. If we had proportional representation, there would be no issue of a Conservative PMO with absolute power intimidating Conservative MPs to vote the party line. Proportional representation would result in having a 2 party government that does represent the majority based on negotiation. Right now, we have 1 party that received 42% of the votes in an election get more than half of the MPs so they have absolute power.
