No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani is pregnant, according to U.S. gossip magazine In Touch Weekly.
Stefani, 43, has two sons – Kingston, 7, and Gavin, 5, – with husband Gavin Rossdale.
A source told In Touch, “she and Gavin couldn’t be happier” about the exciting news.
“She’s just trying to focus on resting right now,” says the source. “She wants to make sure that all is well with the baby.”
During the making of the band’s last album, Push And Shove, Stefani said she felt the pressure of being both a parent and a musician.
“I would be up all night because my second baby didn’t sleep, and he had a lot of ear infections,” she told Marie Claire.
“Then I’d wake up in the morning and do my workout, which I always felt I had to do, and then meetings for my three clothing lines, and then hang out with my kids, take them to preschool, da-da-da. And then at 4 o’clock, I’d be like, ‘All right, I’m out of here, I’m going to go to the studio’ and try to write a record,” she said.
And while in the studio, she was often thinking of what she could be doing: I would “sit on the couch [with my bandmates] and be like, ‘Let’s do this now because I’m missing time with the kids; I could be having dinner with them and putting them to bed.’ It was really hard.”
Her last solo album, The Sweet Escape, was released in 2006, a follow-up to 2004′s multiplatinum Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
No Doubt will release a new album in 2014.
