Suspect sought after child sexually assaulted in Bloor & Lansdowne store

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a little girl in a store in the Bloor Street and Lansdowne Avenue area last week.

The nine-year-old and her mother were in a retail store around 5 p.m. last Friday when a man approached from behind and assaulted the child, police said.

The suspect has a light brown complexion and is 20 to 25 years old. He is approximately five feet, eight inches tall with a medium build and short, dark hair.

Police said he was wearing a grey and black striped hooded sweatshirt, jeans with faded patches, and a dark jacket.

Security images of the suspect were released on Thursday.
