Perhaps a segment showing parents that there are alternatives to corded products might be appropriate. There are cordless options and maybe informing viewers as to how to keep thier children safe from having this to them might be helpful.
Never once did I hear, wow, I am so happy to hear that someone was able to save the child.
Maybe the parents have taught their children well……………………….a 5 year old saves another human, did not learn that from TV – the parents had a roll in that. Maybe the parents could only afford the blinds with cords and yes they should be away from a child……………..my god I would hate for you all to have such an awful thing to happen and everyone call you dumb.
I am a parent of a 27 year old and over the years many things have happened, but he is still here.
Don’t judge others……you don’t even know the story. All children are not dumb until parents teach and train them………………………I guess the parents did teach the dumb kid after all.
parents are dumb for not coming to the aid of the child before her brother. someone call cas.
strong breeze and that cord is right back in the crib.
idiots.
Window blinds are so dangerous for kids, and wrapping the cord up high is not a solution. I think that short curtains on a sturdy, well installed rod is safer.
And then they’re jumping on the bed.. my neice broke her collarbone doing that, flew right off.
Praise the Good Lord for working through this young man to help save his sister!

exactly. And she is dumb. All children are dumb until their parents teach and train them.
I’m shocked to know that there are still parents of small children that don’t use common sense when it comes to blind cords. I have blinds in a couple of rooms but I wouldn’t think of leaving them dangling without being cut in the middle first so no loop remains and also place them high enough that they can’t be reached by my small grandchildren. I’m surprised manufacturers are still allowed to make them this way.
