The critically-acclaimed television show 30 Rock will end its seven-season run with a two-part finale on Thursday night.
Last week’s episode saw a slew of changes for the fictional characters inside the very real 30 Rockefeller Plaza building: Kenneth the Page – played by actor Jack McBrayer – gained control of NBC; TGS, the fictional show within a show, was cancelled; and Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon finally became a mother, adopting two children with her husband Criss Cross (James Marsden).
It was a lot of television to squeeze into one half-hour and Thursday’s back-to-back episodes will be no different.
The show has long served as a commentary on television and that will continue on Thursday, when 30 Rock flashes forward one year, showing where the characters have ended up.
There’s a reference to St. Elsewhere, where the entire show was revealed to be a dream; and a final pitch for very familiar new comedy series from Kenneth.
30 Rock airs on Citytv on 8 p.m.

Yes it is a great show that only highly intelligent people can understand. Most people are too dumb and just give up on it.
30Rock is ending their run?
It MUST be none other than Rob Ford’s fault!
It HAS to be. There is no other explanation.
Blame is a sad game only played by politician and children. Which are you?
that can differentiate between a real post and a sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek one.
You, apparently, cannot.
jumped the shark a long time ago. too “Witty” for its own good.
I have only recently become a huge fan of 30 Rock (how did I miss it before?) and LOVE the witty, intelligent silliness that the show brings. I’ll be sad to see it end, but then I have 7 seasons to catch up on! YES – I will be recording it on the PVR !!
