Toronto police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a woman was struck by a TTC bus in Scarborough on Wednesday afternoon.
The 47-year-old woman remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries following the 4:30 p.m. collision on Eglinton Avenue East near Birchmount Road.
Police told CityNews the woman was crossing at the intersection of Eglinton and Sinnott Road when she was struck.
There has been no word on who had the right of way or if the victim was distracted.
Police said Thursday the TTC driver was a 39-year-old woman, who was heading east on Eglinton in the curb lane.
The pedestrian was trying to cross Eglinton from the south side to the north side.
No arrests have been made.
