A teen who was wounded in this summer’s deadly Danzig Street shooting and later charged with two counts of second-degree murder will appear in court on Wednesday.

Alleged Galloway Boys member Nahom “Gifted” Tsegazab, 19, is facing a slew of charges, including two counts of second-degree murder, after the fatal Scarborough shooting.

Tsegazab is also charged with one count of attempted murder, 22 counts of aggravated assault and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Shyanne Charles, 14, of Scarborough, and Joshua Yasay, 23, of Ajax, died in the July 16 gun battle.

Toronto police believe the violence began when members of the Galloway Boys gang “took ownership” of an outdoor neighbourhood barbecue on Danzig Street and stopped a Malvern Crew gang member from getting in.

Alleged Malvern Crew member Shaquan “Bam Bam” Mesquito, 18, is facing two counts of first-degree murder and 25 other charges.

A 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

A 16-year-old boy, who also can’t be named, is charged with threatening death.
