Police have released the photo of a 47-year-old man they say fled after hitting three pedestrians with a stolen car.

Steven Paul Brunswick allegedly stole a Mercedes-Benz from a Toronto home on Dec. 1, and then was spotted driving the car near Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive on Friday.

Later, when an officer saw Brunswick driving the car on Yonge Street and tried to stop him, the suspect allegedly tried to run down the officer.

Then, while fleeing, Brunswick mounted the curb and hit three pedestrians on the sidewalk. No one was seriously hurt.

Police soon found the abandoned Mercedes-Benz on Burnaby Boulevard, near Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road.

Brunswick is now wanted for theft, attempted murder and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.

He is white, six-foot-one and 220 pounds, with grey and black hair.
