A mother and her three-year-old son, who were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the Highway 6 bypass to Caledonia on Friday have been identified.
The Canadian Press said Amanda Fleming, 28, and Denver Sherk died when her SUV travelling southbound veered just before 3 p.m. into the oncoming lane, striking a transport truck. Four other vehicles were involved after the initial crash.
The woman was ejected and died at the scene. Her son was rushed to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
No one else was injured.
An investigation is ongoing, and weather is being looked at as a possible factor.
