Fog enveloped the GTA again Wednesday morning and drivers were urged to use extra caution on the roads for the morning commute.

An Environment Canada special weather statement about the soupy conditions continued Wednesday for a large swath of southern Ontario.

The federal agency said dense fog in some areas had the potential to reduce visibility to 200 metres or less.

“What’s going to help us this morning burn off that fog a little faster than yesterday morning is … this morning we’ve got clear skies,” Breakfast Television weather specialist Frank Ferragine said.

There’s plenty of sunshine on tap for Wednesday as well, which will burn off the fog.

The forecast high for Wednesday is 10 C. Check the full forecast.

Some foggy conditions are also expected Thursday morning.
