Toronto police have laid more charges against NHL player Ben Eager and his brother Michael Eager after a bar fight last weekend.

Police say the Eagers were at The Quail and Firkin pub in Rosedale early Saturday morning, when they got into a fight around 1 a.m.

When the bouncer tried to stop them, the brothers allegedly turned on him and he wound up with cuts to the face which needed hospital treatment.

Ben, 28, and Michael, 31, were originally charged with threatening bodily harm, assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

Both now face an additional charge of assault, and the charge of assault causing bodily harm has been upgraded to aggravated assault.

They are scheduled to appear in a College Park court on Nov. 26

Ben, who plays for the Edmonton Oilers, is known in the NHL as a tough guy. He was suspended for a sucker punch on Toronto Maple Leaf Colby Armstrong and docked $13,000 after smashing a penalty box camera.
