A 10-year-old Toronto girl who was born with autism and a genetic disorder recently stunned her parents with a ballet performance which her therapist recorded and has since gone viral.

A video of Clara Bergs’ solo from Coppelia, which she memorized, was posted on YouTube last month and has been viewed more than 500,000 times.

According to the family’s website, clarabergs.tumblr.com, the video has been seen around the world, with audiences in Australia, Taiwan and the United States.

Bergs was born with DiGeorge syndrome, which has caused learning and eating problems. She didn’t walk until she was four years old.

Her parents have credited therapists and the Intensive Multi-Treatment Intervention program with helping their daughter live as normal a life as possible.

The government doesn’t cover that therapy, which costs about $70,000 a year, and the Bergs are appealing for donations online.
