Three Brampton schools were put in hold-and-secure mode Tuesday morning after reports of young men with a gun in the Vodden Street East and Rutherford Road area.
The order was lifted around 10 a.m. at the affected schools — Central Peel Secondary School, Agnes Taylor Public School and Madoc Drive Public School.
A parent told police they saw young men with a firearm in the area. The Peel District School Board later said the item that sparked the order was likely a lighter.
@citynews The reported item is believed to be a lighter and was not found on a Central Peel student. All students & staff are safe.
