All lanes of Highway 401 westbound at Hurontario Street in Mississauga have reopened ahead of schedule, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers shut down a section of the highway just before 11 a.m. Friday and reopened it around 3:15 p.m.

The ramp from Highway 410 to the westbound 401 and northbound Mavis Road were also closed for several hours after a 17-year-old boy fell from the overpass.

While police were investigating, they found the body of a teenage girl in a Mississauga parkette. A police source told CityNews the events are related, and the woman was likely killed before the teen fell.
