A musical toy truck for babies has been recalled because the product poses a potential choking hazard.

Health Canada is advising parents and caregivers to take Troy the Activity Truck away from kids immediately. The recall, issued by Health Canada, toy-maker Infantino and U.S. officials, was put in place because plastic tubing can detach from the toy, releasing small sliding shapes.

Infantino has received three reports of the toy breaking in Canada. American officials have received 25 reports of parts detaching, including 15 cases in which a child had one of the detached shapes in their mouth — in two of those cases the child was gagging.

There have been no reports of injuries related to this recall.

Approximately 1,900 of these toys were sold in Canada between September 2009 and February 2011. Nearly 50,000 units were sold in the U.S.

The underside of the truck has Infantino’s contact information and one of these three model numbers: 153-210, 206-110, or 506-110C.

Those affected by the recall can contact Infantino for a free replacement toy at 1-888-808-3111. You can email the company at recall@infantino.com or visit its website.
