There’s always so much pressure to find the perfect way to spend New Year’s Eve.
No matter what your age, the idea that something should be done to commemorate the calendar change can make it tough to have fun, when really that’s all you should be trying to do wherever you are.
The good news is, if where you are or will be is the Citytv’s New Year’s Eve Bash , the fun part is all but guaranteed.
The annual celebration at Nathan Phillips Square will feature another great lineup packed with music, laughs and few thousand of your closest Torontonians. But this year organizers are pulling out all the stops to make sure the 2007 edition will kick things up a notch.
“Every year we do it bigger and better,” promised producer Dan Hughes.
“A massive fireworks display … it’s going to be awesome.”
As of 6pm, crews were still busy with last-minute details, including prepping the stage for a list of performers that includes Keisha Chante, George, Measha Brueggergosman and Hedley.
The party will be hosted by Breakfast Television’s Dina Pugliese and Star!’s Husein Madhavji.
Those in attendance or watching live will also be seeing special appearances by MuchMusic’s Tim Deegan and Sarah Taylor , Star!’s Danielle McGimsie and Sean Gehon and of course, what party is complete without Ed the Sock ?
If you plan to come down to watch the great performances or you just want to party, make sure you don’t mind getting up close and personal with the other revelers. More than here will be more than 40,000 people in and around the event, which of course is completely free.
Things get underway at 10:30pm with Star! Daily New Year’s Countdown and the big show will officially get going at 11pm.
